I havent been able to sleep as I have been wracking my brains about whether to sell the 914 for a great bus, or not to. I have reached a decision and am going to sell my car. I have a bus in mind and it will be a great candidate for all of the bastardization that I have in mind while still being very solid. The part of the plan that sold me was that a bus can store its own parts. Its like a mobile storage unit for itself. I can free up my much needed garage space (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I know, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thisthreadisworthlesswithoutpics.gif) I will get some as soon as one of my contacts takes some for me. I hope I am still welcome here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Sold my first 914 in 1977 and bought a '72 bus - really missed the 914 but loved the bus. Fast forward to 2005 when I bought an '87 Westy and a couple of months later a '74 2.0 914. Best combination of vehicles I've ever had! Now I'm in the process of putting a 3.3L subiesix in the Westy so I can tow the teener....Starship Narpfignugen. Did you know that the Vanagon wheelbase is only 13mm more than a 914?
