It is time to announce the G&R All 914 Swap Meet and Animal Flesh Roasting Festival.
The date shall be April 27th. For those that I told it was the 29th ... hell I was only off by two days. As always, swap space is free and gates will open approximately 6:30 AM. All are welcome. You can bring ass-dragger parts if you wish, but there will be a surcharge at the gate for defiling our swap meet. Engines / Gauges / Front Ends / Brakes are excepted from the surcharge. Whole cars will be candidates for a sawz-all party. Menu will be as always, German Tube Steak, American Tube Steak and Ground beef muscle with appropriate condiments. Prolly Macaroni Salad, Chips and Cookies. Drinks we supply will be limited to soda pop and water. Anything else you have to bring, but do so in moderation. Cooking will start about 10 or 11 AM. We again request a $5.00 donation to cover the cost of food. If you have a real low car, make sure you enter the side closest to the motorized gate controller. The other side may remove your engine mount prematurely. All drive-trains that hit the ground immediately become property of the G&R Swap Meet, Non-Inc. You get to tow the body off unless we like it. If you have never attended this premire event you may wish to do so this year. It is possible that this will be the last one we venture to put on. Why will not be explained, so don't ask. Anyway, mark your calendars ..... April 27, 2008 .... I will again post directions as we get a tad closer by editing this post or you can use your intelligence? and search the forum for previous postings ... we haven't changed the location and mother earth has not moved us that much via earthquakes (as yet). |

Thanks Glen & Ron! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well I made the trip down & had some issues on the way. I sold alot of little stuff. Gave away alot of stuff. Threw away alot of stuff. I didn't sell my nice roller though. Was suprprised someone didn't pick it up. Is a really solid car & a good price. Oh well if anyone needs a 74 914 it will be heading towards Sacramento in the morning. Then north on I5. I'd be happy to deliver along my route (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .
Overall I covered my gas for the trip (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) . Tough to beat the company though. Mark (computers4kids) & his wonderful wife were great hosts. I stayed at their place in Visalia last night & tonight. A big Thanks to them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) . Also was great to meet so many guys from the site. I put alot of faces & real names with screen names (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) I allready forgot most of them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) So overall the company was great. The 914 community here is strog. Can't wait for WCR (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) |
