Use a round punch to align hole. It seems like the wedge pin will only go in from the rear if I remember correctly.

Use a round punch to align hole. It seems like the wedge pin will only go in from the rear if I remember correctly. That did it, Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! One other problem I had was the hole was smaller than the dia of the pin because of the powdercoating. I had to file it with a rat tail file since I didn't have a drill slightly under 1/2" or a small honing tool. Ideally this should be done before mounting the strut...
