Amazing pictures around Machinac Island where Lake Michigan & Lake Huron connect.

Michigan had the coldest winter in decades. Water expands when the water in Lake Huron & Lake Michigan's surface ice is supercooled. It expands to break through the surface ice and freezes into this incredible wave. It happens in Antarctica, but in Michigan!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

This is a cold weather gift from our Canadian friends to the North. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) How can you guys stand it???? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Very cool. "This" Michigander has never seen that before. I've sailed to Mackinac many times; where exactly was the picture taken?

Eric,

I didn't take the pictures, they were sent to me by a friend of a friend in Northern MI.

Here's another MI photo of twin Albino Deer in mid MI sent to me by my son. The internet is a wonderful place, because they were sent to him from his MI Tech. college friend to Tom jr. working in the Bucharest, Romania oil fields. A lot of deer hunters want to know the location!!! It's a secrete. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)
