I'm now working on a power steering system for my V8 car. I'm using a Golf P/S unit and a Toyota MR2 electric pump. There will be some pictures soon, I'm building the bracket to mount the power rack to the 914 cross member.
I'll doc the build up in this thread.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

I had time to drive it around quite a bit more and I went out of my way to hit every imperfection in the road, holes etc. I guess being lucky is better than being good ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) So far I don't feel any bump-steer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I assume were talking about the steering wheel and car shift from side to side as a front "tire" drops in and out of holes etc. (individually). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I haven't aligned the car, so its way off along with having some jacked up rubber for now. I'm sure I'll need to make plenty of adjustments as time goes on, but its so so much nicer in tight spaces or just driving through my neighborhood
