This trip back was a constant battle. It may have taken first place in the "white knuckle ride form hell" category. I don't think words can even describe it. Terror springs to mind. In late Oct. of '02 I drove a 914 from Chicago to Portland. Before I left Oregon (by plane) a trucker told me that if I had any weather problems it would be in Wyoming. Sure enough, hit snow just east of "Little America". Freeway was closed about 40 miles further west. Ended up going around on snow packed two lane roads. Evanston was where I reached safety. Not nearly like your experience, but enough to cause me to remember that stretch of I-80 for a long time. Good to hear you're home and able to tell the story.
