Well something broke Dont know what. Reset timing ran great then turned it off had a run on engine.......clack,clack, clack, bent valve? Very noisy help Time to upgrade? Rebuild?76 2.0 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

If the intake is not opening (broke rocker arm, pushrod loose, or adjuster backed off and the pushrod got loose) it is like you don't open the throttle to check compression. No air in no compression.
