I just did that (actually looked exactly like that), Im busy now, but you might find it in the archives.. I took cardboard and cut pieces of carboard to fit, then I cut metal (used an old door for the metal) and then slightly hammered it into the shape that would fit flush and weld good. Mig (if you'll call it that) welded it, and its very strong. Then I welded the battery tray in. All in all looks pretty good (havent cleaned up the underwelds yet..), then I por 15'ed it and painted it. Not that hard, its the prepwork thats a pain.
