As I started final assembly of my 2.7 RS spec motor (S cams, RS P&C,2.7 crank), I found the mechanical advance dist cap is cracked. It's a Marelli and it was setup for a 2.0T. I have a 2.7 vac adv dist, a Bosch. Will this work? Am I better off with something else?

Nope....Marrelli is a differernt animal....you would be better off converting to another dizzy. They don't make those no more and repalcement cap and rotors are NLA.
You occasionally find them on ebay....big bucks. Consider a Bosch or Mallory. Might wanna post over on the 9 eleben sky rat board. |
