Thought we should start throwing around ideas for events at WCR...a meet and greet thursday night is a given, as is a couple drives but maybe we could discuss other event possibilities.
I had a thought of maybe some sort of tech sessions from our resident experts? I know we would be limited but maybe we could put our heads together of common repairs/upgrades that someone could do a step by step of what is involved? Maybe a brake caliper break down and assemble? Any other ideas? |

Proposed schedule:
Thursday 6:14PM Check-in is open and we begin gathering on the roof of the ramp. Opening BBQ starts serving at 7:14PM. BBQ is provided but not included. 8:14PM Keg tap and official kick off of the WCR 2010 Teeners in Thin Air Friday 9:14AM Tech Sessions and car clean up. Breakfast on your own. Lunch BBQ provided but not included. 1:14PM to 4:14PM Peoples Choice Show and Shine. Dinner BBQ provided but not included. Keg opens at 8:14PM. Saturday 9:14AM Targa Tahoe gathers on the ramp. Breakfast on your own. Lunch BBQ provided but not included. After Targa Tahoe stragglers return - pictures. 6:14PM BBQ on the roof provided by WCR 2010 Teeners in Thin Air Including Drawings for Sponsor Swag - Peoples Choice Car Show Awards. Keg opens at 8:14PM Sunday is check out and return to civilization. Alternative activities on your own include the following: Fishing charters for groups of 4-9. Excursion and Interpretive History Boat Trips on the Lake (Covered Cabin with Windows if you don't want to be on deck). Golf on a world class PGA Course within walking distance of the hotel. Gambling. Many hotels including the host hotel have world class casinos for you to try your chances and win or lose some cash. Restaurants. The full range from 5Star to the lowest of bacteria holes. Independent drives around Lake Tahoe. Takes all day and requires a stop for food but the view of the lake is breathtaking. Photo opportunities. You can pretty much just keep tapping the shutter on your camera because the Lake and surrounding area are beautiful no matter which way you turn. Zip Line Rides. One of the local ski resorts has a ride up on the chair lift and zip line down. We think this costs about $60 but it would be a heck of a thrill ride. Proposal - Add to it, subtract from it, comment on it. We need to publish something and open registration soon. |
