Okay so I have my website up finally. Jim from Wyoming set it up for me. Just wanted to have my own place to throw up what I am working on. I'll always have a few things for sale on there. Not to get away from the world or club. Just wanted to have a place to send people for my hobby. This is still a work in progress but I was excited to have it live (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
So what do you think??? http://www.914rustorations.com/ |

Cool, another 914 to check out! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Congrats.
I like the logo, metalic effect is cool. Also like the simple, straightforward, easy navigation and labels. Stop here if you're not interested in constructive criticism. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Andy already pointed out that HTML validation fails - start with a doctype declaration and go from there! It sounds like your site's going to work great for what you need right now. Maybe for future consideration, here are a few drawbacks to all-Flash sites, for what it's worth: 1. people habitually click their browser's back button to navigate back. With a site like yours however, they will be taken completely out of your site when doing so, no matter where they've navigated to in it. "Browser history management". 2. as your business (and your site) grows, people being able to find you on the web becomes more and more important. search engines won't be able to glean content from your site, or be able to index anything much other than the home page. File under "SEO". 3. somebody wanting to email something on your site to someone else, or wanting to bookmark something on your site, can't. Only the home page. This concept is called "deep linking". 4. obviously, flash player required. maybe not a big deal, but does make your site inaccessible to a large percentage of mobile devices (at least for now). There are workarounds for some of this stuff, but they're not trivial to implement. ...again, it sounds like these aren't concerns right now, but thought I'd put it out there since, well, it's what I do. :] Again, congrats on carving out your corner of the 'Net!!
