I'm looking for a used, but useable sandwhich adapter
I want to add a cooler to a beater I'll just go under the rear trunk also if anyone has an old set up (a cooler with fan), lines, and parts that didn't have a motor die and deposit metal... I'm interested in more than just the sandwich adapter if you have it. please pm or email in case I don't see this thread. brant |

beware of used coolers, speically the plate type coolers, they can trap metal chunks from failing motors. only to come out later and wreck you motor. be sure the cooler you buy comes out of a good car for sure. also rinse it at least three times with paint thinner. if any signs of metal contaminations, toss it out.
it is very very hard to clean them effectivly (unless it is the tube type cooler which can be cleaned easy) good luck on you search. PS empi sells new coolers with or with out electric fans. I got a large 96 plate cooler with a 9 inch fan for $170 at Bugformance of san jose. that is a typical empi price. you can probably use the 72 plate cooler in teh 914 as it might fit better. the 96 plate goes in my bus have fun |
