I noticed the cooling air control cable is detatched. Don't know how long it's been that way. How is this activated? Do I just reconect it?

How do you access the bellows? Great, this thing was probably never hooked up. I thought this thing was running hot. Temp gauge doesn't read hot but it's probably not working either...

How do you access the bellows? Great, this thing was probably never hooked up. I thought this thing was running hot. Temp gauge doesn't read hot but it's probably not working either... The bellows is attached to a bracket on the drivers side of the engine case above the air guide. The cable is just a cable with a ferrule that passes through a union nut which is screwed onto the bellows. it goes around a pulley and up to the flaps, the flaps default by a spring to the open (warmed up) condition when the cable is disconnected.........Here is a picture of the whole set up: http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/p...arts/115-10.php |
