One of my to do items this year is to change the 2nd gear syncro. I did the 1st gear a couple of years ago, it was pretty easy except for the synchro removal ( Iused my dremel tool to cut it off).
Anyone BTDT? What items besides the synchro , dog teeth and gaskets will I need? Thanks M |

A front pilot shaft seal and maybe a new slider ($$$) If the synchro is toast and the dogteeth are really bad then you might have toasted the slider. If the slider is crappy the bad teeth on it will wreck the new dogteeth (bad).
You'll see went you get it apart. Check the intermediate shaft bearings when you are in there. Geoff |
