[size=3]Here are a few pics that I said I would share for thoughts & input on doing restoration to our 2 Porsche's 1970 Yello & 1976 Brown. Thanks for the support & help. We will start by sending to our mechanic the first week of March 2011...wifes first, hers is the 76'. Will update with pics and things done/completed along the way. Thanks,

I'll be the weenie, and say stay original whatever the color. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
What's the paint code on the wife's 76, front door jamb, if it's really a brown could be a special order (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Ferg |

Sepia Brown? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

Sepia Brown? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) To Ferg & Sir Andy...2 questions maybe you can answer? 1. Is it possible that the color of our 76 914 is a copper metallic brown, from the factory. Code is 98 but after Ferg sent pics of all the "Brown Colors" we believe it is just that copper metallic brown...we rechecked the color code plate it in our opinion has NOT been removed or painted over as well as the sticker with the month/year and serial number. Is it possible & if so how do we add it to the overall color chart for 914's 2. If we want to do the rebuild of the engines/trannies ourselves (we have most all the equipment) how hard is it...we're half intelligent...well somedays more than others, LOL. Thanks guys |
