What would be the widest tire size that can be used on the 914 stock without flares or widden body?

205/60 15. This will keep the speedometer accurate as it is the same height as the stock 165 15 tire. I would suggest however 195 65 x15 as the 205 bulges too much from the 5.5 wheel flexing the sidewall and causing the jello effect as you drive, the tire actually making the car wobble a bit when turning

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I have run 205s on all of my 914s and have never had an issue with side wall flex, that includes street/AX/Track...but I have always used high quality performance tires. |
