My pleasure. This info has come out of our members VIN registry and my own research since 1975. I don't have all the answers, yet, but I'm working on it. I haven't been around as much in the last few years as I used to be. Part of the reason is that I've been hanging out on the dark side (911 & 912) boards around the world. I've done a lot of research on those cars as well now. Can you believe that in this day and age they still have no definitive knowledge of the true change of model year from 1965 to 1966? There has been a lot of research done, and a lot of theories put forward, but there is still no complete agreement. Porsche never made it easy by stating it clearly, and did not complete the cars in VIN sequence either.
