Well, it has been a long day travelling over 500 miles round trip to pick up a disguised LE Creamsicle
Some hell hole damage and into the long but not as bad as some I have seen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) Had been repainted white many years ago - bumper covers and all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Brown interior has been dyed black (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Been sitting for the past 15+ years mostly under cover. Last ran about 10 years ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Is definitely an LE as there is the phoenix red showing on the rims and elsewhere on the body. How does the a/c system figure in the restoration?

How does the a/c system figure in the restoration? At this point not a high priority. Not even sure if it was operational or not before I took it out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

Productive day: replaced the leaking upper windshield targa rubber on the LE with the one off my cancerous '73. Also cleaned out the garage space where the '73 has been, pulled it outside and parked the LE inside. No more water in the cockpit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I was wondering why you had a rusty car inside the garage and your LE project was outside. I had planned on doing this when I first got the LE and just never took the time to do it. For a while I had an e-z up over the LE to keep the weather out. But high winds took care of that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
So now the LE is running AND out of the weather. Hoping the replacement rubber seal has stopped the leaking. Now I need to bleed the brakes, adjust valves, clutch, etc and get tires. Slowly coming together. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
