Our friends Garrett and Patricia have once again offered their lovely home and 'yard' for a BBQ. Those who attended last year's event are probably still savoring the flavorful grub, friendly people, special cars and lush display grounds. Those who missed it are probably still kicking themselves - here's your chance to make amends.
Details: Link with address and directions You don't have to bring a 914 to attend, but it's highly recommended. Any Porsche will do, even donor cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) . Actually, vintage iron of any flavor is encouraged. Food: BBQ Chef Extraordinaire, Mr 242 is bringing his megamagic Binford 8000 and a menu of meat specialties to prepare. The menu hasn't been finalized but I think we can count on Atomic Buffalo Turds among other delicacies. We should go potluck style and have people bring another dish to share; salad, dessert, casserole, chips, etc. Please let us know what you'll likely be bringing to share. Suggested donation: Same as last year; $10 per head to cover food and portapotty rental. If you're cash tight, don't sweat it; it's more important that you show up. Here's a group shot from last year. This was taken right before the food was ready - it was the only way we could herd this many teeners into the same picture. ![]() If you need more convincing, check out Last year's BBQ thread for pictures and reviews. Don't want to get over-organized for this, but if anyone has ideas for activities, etc., chime in. Unofficial head count: I'll list all the people who say they may attend. This is just to get an approximate number. If you're listed and can't make it, let us know. If you're not listed and can make it, let us know. Also, give us an idea of how many people you'll be bringing with you. Ok, this might sound a bit odd, but if it's got 4 legs, I'll eat it. The wife's prize goat herd had a few too many boys this year. It's a breading herd so we can't do much with them other than eat them. So now I'm sitting on a couple of hundred pounds of goat meat.
