I have an original 6 engine mount welded to the body/bolted to engine. For all I know the rubber mount is vintage 1971. The rubber looks to be in great shape. How long do these things last? Should I replace? Good old AA has them for $400
*edit* just to clarify I'm talking about the sepaate rubber portion of the mount |

Never had any problems with my original engine mount.
Depending upon the engine output, you might want to look into bracing the original mount to the body. They did this on some of the later GT's. ![]() |
