Hello,

The holes in the floor are definitely for the arms of the spot welder to get into position. For instance, think about the center tunnel and how it's welded to the floor pan. Also the cross members were spot welded and those holes would've been used for that as well.
Our 914's were never dipped for paint (or anything else). That technology wasn't widespread in factories until after the 914 was out of production. |
