I have dual Dellorto carbs on my 2.0 and I've had them tuned a few times by a shop by my house but I feel like it still doesn't have very great throttle response. Also, the carbs cough above 3,000 rpm and I'm getting popping out of the exhaust under deceleration. Any advice about what is going on with my carbs and any recommendations of shops in SoCal that do quality work on type 4s would be awesome!
Thanks in advance, Jon |

I just wanted to follow up on this a little. I suggested Scotty because he is in close proximity to Glendora which for me is always a plus. Also because he's a good guy and a straight shooter. I meant no disrespect for any of the other shops especially Otto's. Daniel at Otto's just put a 3.4L in our 2003 Boxster S and did a great job. Just a suggestion......don't ever put a 3.4L in a 2003 Boxster S. You can put a 3.2L (obviously because that's what they came with) or a 3.6L without major problems. Daniel ended up nick naming our car "Frankenstein" because of all the modifications needed. He did make it work and was real good about dealing with all of the issues. I was warned ahead of time not to do this conversion but I didn't listen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Now that it is done it is a great car. I am sure I could have put a 3.6L in cheaper and easier and it would have been even better. Live and learn. I wish you well with the carbs. Once you get them right you'll love 'em.
