Sorry, but I'm sort of new here. Altough I've owned the same 914-6 for almost 31 years, I still am confused by the numbers. I've read that there were 2658 sixes built in 1970. Mine is #2648. Does that mean that it was in fact the 10th from the last 1970 built? What sequence did they build them? The vin tag in the front trunk on the right headlight mount has a line that reads "heizg. typ 914/6 prufz. ~~ S102". Pardon my German, but what is the S102 (the S is embossed and the 102 is stamped) mean? The door tag says it was built 07/70. The four digit # on the floor of the rear trunk just forward of the latch housing is 2108. That's a long way from 2648!

Thanks.
