Okay, for anyone with drive-on lift. The ramps that came with mine
are 1/4" bent steel 18" wide and 47 pounds each. And if you leave
them attached while raised, they get in the way of my face (no 12'
ceiling for me).

So, I bought 'race ramps' which are 4 pound foam bits. But, they are
only 3" high when ramp is 4" high, and they need to hook onto the lift.
Added a piece of composite decking machined for the hooks, put a
bolt thru and done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Now I can pick these up and throw them anywhere. You can make out
the size of the old parts by the marks on the concrete.

What kind of foam?
I have the big steel ramps also...and they are heavy and hard to store...

Formation sells all sorts of foam...wonder if I could just get a slab of foam....

Well, the outside is some kind of formed plastic (with rough texture).
When I drilled the hole, it really seemed to come out like tiny (~2mm)
styrofoam beads. Without the outer structure and maybe ribs inside,
you'd be in big trouble with more than 500 pounds on it.
