I'm gonna be passing by Napa valley on my vacation in a couple of weeks. We'll be coming south from Humboldt Redwoods State Park on Hwy 101 and heading towards Big Basin State Park, just North of Santa Cruz. We're planning to go across the Golden Gate Bridge and make a stop in Redwood City at HPH to see Brad and pick up some parts.

We'd like to take in a little bit of Napa along the way. Mostly just a drive through, with a stop at 1 or 2 wineries. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good route and perhaps some favorite wineries to visit.

Wow - great tips! I had not thought of a 914 get-together (duh!) I guess it was because I'll be in the VW Eurovan Camper (although it does sport a 914Club sticker).

We've got reservations at Big Basin for camping so we don't have too worry much about what time we get there. Our plan had been to stop in Redwood City on our way south on the 19th, but Big Basin is close enough that we could swing back on Tuesday the 20th if needed.

We had figured on going through the Napa area in the early afternoon so I don't know how that will work for a get-together since it is a Monday. I may be on vacation, but I figure some of you will be working! Let me know if you've got ideas.
