That's a Dzus button. A quick-release fastener, so that the fender can be pulled off by turning a few fasteners one quarter turn.
BTW, micro-balloons are to provide lightweight filler. They're mostly air, so they don't weigh much. They take up space nicely, and when you mix them into the appropriate "goop" they can be used as body filler that builds up nicely and sands well but is light. --DD |
