I've been looking for a button head cap screw that I could use with Gotti 3 piece wheels. The screw has to able to take 14 foot pounds of torque (168 inch pounds), so the normal versions you can find break. By switching to socket head cap screws the torque issue.s goes away, but socket heads have a higher profile than I would like. I know the Gotti folks sell, for about a buck apiece, the button heads that will take the torque, but would like to find a US supplier. Need M6 x 35mm. |

My unenducated research says that a M6 bolt that can take 14 ft/lbs would be grade 12.9. McMaster-Carr sells some but they are 'normal' allen head, not button. PN: 91290A334
Plus they're a black finish. But $11 for a pack of 100. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/images1.mcmaster.com-419-1359666642.1.png) Here's a couple other options randomly found via Google (search: M6 12.9 button bolts) https://www.boltmax.com/proddetail.php?prod=535078 http://www.mandsfastener.com/M6-Button-Hea...Screw_p_75.html I would probably try and confirm with Gotti techs before using any of these. |
