Looking great Luke.
For the record. All ATE steel caliper were finished in yellow zinc. The process was a rather quick "factory" job and they had a fairly light yellow dichromate layer. After years of various cleaning and sitting in acidic brake dust, the yellow dichromate layer begins to wear and they look more clear. This is why some people think the calipers were silver or clear plated. 100% of the ATE calipers we've disassembled have been yellow zinc (and no, we don't rattle can or copy-cad our calipers) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
