how do you/did you remove the glue residue from where the backpad was in the engine compartment without removing the paint? I'm in the same boat and I want to get rid of the residue left behind but I don't want to remove any of the paint if I don't have to. <forgive me if that's a noob question> Brake cleaner works for this, or similar solvents. Wear a respirator, and test a small area first to make sure it doesn't hurt the paint. I used carburetor cleaner and a wire brush, but don't think this will save your paint. No matter what kind of way you go about it, any abrasive measures will show in the paint, e.g. no smoothness.. |
