Do you mount the trunk release switch next to the engine lid pull ? If so, how long a switch is needed to go through the fire wall and backpad ? Seems like there are better places to put it- what do you have ?
And, how is the emergency pull wire mounted to the solenoid? I don't see a place where there is going to be sufficient leverage (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i721.photobucket.com-643-1364056945.1.jpg) |

Mine is to the right and above the rear Tag on the Bumper. You can't see it. I don't have a emergency pull, might have to check that out.

Emergency pull is only a hole in the bottom of the trunk that I would have to push a wire through. I did have to use the wire once and I had a battery sitting on top of the hole (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) But it still worked after a lot of pushing and fishing. BTW, My mechanism is home made and may have used a Honda solenoid. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |
