DO NOT BUY the car with out getting a PPI done by a good Porsche shop in the area. I would give her a $500 deposit. If she refuses to have the car checked out by a mechanic of your choice this should be a big red flag. Do not get caught up in an impulse buy that is a bad place to be. These cars can cost big $$$ to fix.  Do not worry about insulting her this is business its your hard earned money on the line here.

Good Luck

Succinct advice here (not to mention one darn fine avatar). I wouldn't, however, give her a deposit--not necessary. There are lots of these out there, AND you seem to have buyers fever. I don't mean this rudely. Kick back a little and be more objective. I ended up with a great SC, but it was the third one I looked at. An engine rebuild is $8000 dollars or more. Has it ever been wrecked? High mileage is okay as long as there are no significant problems.

Get it checked out by a reputable Porsche specialist (this advice was worth repeating).
