Car starts immediately with 1 turn of the key. Idles at a steady 900 rpm at first but increases to 1800-2000 as it warms up over 5-10 minutes. Drops down to 1600-1800 after about 20 minutes. Still too fast. It's been 65-80 degrees here.

Help please.

Can't completely rule out a vacuum leak, but the fact that it happens as the car warms up makes it sound like your AAR is stuck in the open position.

Check out this site & cruise down to the troubleshooting section:

On the bright side, the AAR is pretty easy to pull off and bench test.

Good luck!
