If the accumulator has to dump its load to maintain pressure, where does that extra 2 or 3 quarts of oil go in the system?
Does it get puked out of the breathers if there is too much? I'm sure its better than losing oil pressure but it wouldn't be good to oil down the track either. My breather tank is only 1 qt. thanks, dr |

At high revs, the oil in the sump goes into the heads... If the oil pressure drops to less than what is in the accusump, the accusump dumps and keeps the pressure up until the sump picks up oil again and rechearges the system and the accusump....
