Next step for me is setting up my valve train geometry. I searched the web and the World and now I have enough information to know that I need more information. I see a few references to an article Jake had on his now extinct forums. The Facebook page is pretty vast. Can someone point me to this article? I think that's my first step toward comming up with more intelegent questions.
FYI: I'm building a 2056 based on a late case. I have Jake's 9550 cam installed I have swivel feet adjusters mounted on 1.7 rockers with solid spacers I am using SS valves and chromoloy push rods I installed 8x10 rocker studs I have used .065" of shim on the cylinders with no head gasket Thanks! Thanks guys.
If you don't like something in the write up, if you don't like Jake Raby, please post your comments somewhere else. This is a valve train thread..... Anyone have an adjustable pushrod I can use? I can manage everything else. |

In fact, will bring it to you, could really use the opportuynity to watch/learn as you do this. This is the only area I have aknot in my stomach over..... As we discussed in the past I think our engine and valvetrain layouts are exactly the same, down to the spacer of which mine is a .060. Give me a call! |

I'll collect the required tooling and get back to you, maybe next week. Lots of pictures to come. |
