For my 3.0L SC motor with Weber carbs to a 901 transmission - I'm planning on a new Kennedy 228mm flywheel and 228mm Stage II pressure plate.
My existing 215mm 914 4 spring clutch disc still has life left on it - can this be used at all? I've seen some notes that 215mm can be used on 228mm flywheels...is this true or do I need the 228 with 6 springs for a /6 engine? Thanks. |

You can't use a 215mm disk with a 225mm flywheel and pressure plate. To use a 215mm clutch, you have to have an early 911/914-6 flywheel. But that won't fit a 3.0SC motor. You can get an adapter flywheel from Kennedy engineering. But you would have to use the 215mm pressure plate with the adapter flywheel. |
