Pulling apart that Aluminum case 2.0 motor in anticipating to sell it and cant seem to get one of the heads off.
Motor has been sitting for 20 plus years and rotates freely. 4 heads came off with a little more than a ketchup bottle thump. 1 head came off with the cylinder attached The other one, wont seem to budge. Made sure all washers were removed. been soaking with PB Blaster for a couple of days BTW: motor had been sitting for several years and a mouse had made a nest on top of that particular cylinder. Hence - Mouse motor... Any suggestions? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |

Wouldn't the rope trick work? Get piston at BDC, thread a rope into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and then rotate engine. Never done it myself but I've heard it works.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I did this last week to a Jag motor - works awesome. Just enough push to pop it off. |
