The guy at Kennedy told me the best trans would be the Boxster S 6 speed, 2000-2004?
I'm not sure if I need a hydraulic clutch, or no? Some parts I need more specifics on what part number/type to ask for. High torque starter-what type? Heavy Duty Axles-what type Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Parts-do I need a hydraulic clutch? Boxster S shifter and cables-use what typicall would have come with the trans? Good used Boxster S 6 speed, transaxle-2000-2004 best place to find one? Heavy Duty CV joints-what type Magnetic hall speedo sensor-what type |

Heavy Duty CV joints-what type Magnetic hall speedo sensor-what type Boxster S uses a 108mm CV, same as 930 turbo. http://www.rcvperformance.com/product-deta...ku=301174CC-28M www.pacificcustoms.com Axles will be EMPI style 28 spline. The Boxster diff is offset so you will need two different axle lengths. Measure once the tranny is installed in the car. Pacific customs sells these individually if you call them. around $120 each Wilwood makes a good clutch master cylinder. I'm using a 5/8" with the Boxster tranny. Summit Racing has these. speedo sensor depends on what speedo you have. I used a "grease ring" from Pacific and installed magnets in the ring. My sensor mounts to a custom bracket. The sensor is a standard VW unit for use with the VW speedo. High torque starter will match your engine. Summit Racing should have these too. www.summitracing.com |

1. The guy at Kennedy told me the best trans would be the Boxster S, 6 speed, 2000-2004? Does that sound true?
2. What about gears for a boxster trans, using the LS engine, or would I need to have the gearing changed? 3. Boxster S shifter and cables-use what would have come with the trans? 4. Best place to find trans/shifter? Boxster S uses a 108mm CV, same as 930 turbo. http://www.rcvperformance.com/product-deta...ku=301174CC-28M www.pacificcustoms.com Axles will be EMPI style 28 spline. I currently have a 5 lug, but what would the hubs I currently have, be off of, or will it work with that particular spline? 6. If I use the Corvette, drive by wire, just discontinue the cable side of the trans, and convert the current clutch cable over to hydraulic? |
