I have a 1975 914. Took it out this weekend and as I went to park on a hill, and felt the car slowly moving backwards after I pulled the parking brake. It worked out, I found a flat area to park in, and put it in gear so it wouldn't roll away.
However, I now have a parking brake that doesn't work. Is there a single remedy to this, or will I need to have it looked at by a mechanic to figure out the issue? thank you for the help! |

it could be the cables, it could be the calipers, and it could be an adjustment needed on either or both...
the parking brakes need to be adjusted to work properly, they are not-self adjusting the way modern cars are.... or you may just need new pads or cables... |
