I laid my wiring harness back in the car last weekend and have a question about the brown and brown/white white that leaves the main wiring harness just after the firewall in the front trunk.
What does it terminate to? It continues down to the brake master cylinder pressure fail switch. I know what to do with it there - but what does it attach to up top? I am working on a early '72 model year. Thanks in advance! |

1. Can you double-check the colors? From the picture it seems that none of the wires is white.
2. Are you sure you routed the wires the right way? It looks like the buzzer and door open switch would connect to that white and brown wires but that's located under the dash. |

These wires are for sure located in the right spot as the grommet for the main harness that goes through the firewall was never removed so these are on the correct side of the firewall. |

This one is just the same as mine, but along with the optional wiper intermitent relay wire, they were taped back into the harness. I would put one on if you found a cap BD. There are such caps for later air cooled 911s. Think they would fit? Now to wander. I am trying to figure out what the diodes wired into the brake light warning circuit do. They are attached at what I am pretty sure are lights at the back of the fuel gauge. Normally I can figure these out, but the 72 wiring seems unique and the diagram is tough reading. Fractured a vertebrae pulling the cord on the snowblower so it is light chores till the heat blows over. No, it DID NOT start. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) |
