Hmmmm... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)
The LA Lit and Toy Show, March 7th? The SoCal All Porsche Swap and Car Show March 8th? Amelia Island March 13th in Jacksonville, FL? It seems to me that (with a slight detour to Las Vegas) the cities of Albuquerque, Dallas and Mobile might make up a nice romp across the country. Thoughts? Ideas? I think it would be cool to drive a 914 from coast to coast. Especially being a featured mark at Amelia. It would be nice to document it. GoPro, Instagram, Blog??? Maybe a few gear head get togethers along the way? Still thinking about it but... It's beyond intriguing for sure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) *******************UPDATE****************** The trip is now in stone. Do you remember who that was? That guy was one of us. He posted here, on the World. I think the car was an RS America? Eric's trip sounds like the old Yoder-Milo Roundyround of a decade+ ago. Joe Yoder from the DFW area (anyone hear from Yoder?) decided to take an epic road trip, and Steve Milo volunteered to go along with him. They went from TX out to here and stopped in MI (?) where the Parade was being held. I don't remember if they got to the east coast or not. The trip was several weeks at least. They had a good time, from what I read. --DD |
