I've wanted to do this for years! I just finished a 2 cylinder Ty 4 engine. I had a case that was not in real good shape and a couple of 1.7 heaqds that were OK. I welded up the oil holes on #2 & 4 and welded up 4 cam folowers , had the 1.7 heads fly cut for a big bore (96MM) P & C and have 1/2 of a 1911. For now and for simplicity I installed a standard 32/36 setup. I installed it om my engine start up stand and it started right up and ran fine , 60 PSI oil pressure at idle. No need to send a picture because it looks just like a regular engine although it sounds like a motorcycle.
I have a question for the forum, any suggestions on a carb set up?? I have a couple of old 1.7 bus carbs with the manifolds , I can use one of these carbs and center mount it . I can just continue to use the 32 MM weber and block off the 36 MM side??? any help. AL |

Perhaps not a picture but how about a video? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
