I'd like to have am accurate gauge right on the case of the /6 so I can keep an eye on the oil when I do the break-in. I've seen these on 911 and they face the back of the car to make it easy to read. I figure on the 914, it should face up. Anyone here installed one?

That sender unit is likely 1/8" NPT (cant see the bottom)
If you remove that you could put in a tee or a grease-gun hose to relocate the sender with the gauge. |
