Im getting my car back together...it' new to me.
The horn works when I connect the brass ring to the shaft of the steering column.. But with the wheel and horn pad in place, it doesn't. Can someone suggest what is missing and how to connect my horn? Thank you for the replies...
I will see if I can source one of those horn buttons locally here in Australia. The car is a 1970 ex USA.. I didn't realise that my steering wheel was a later model (I am new to 914s).. will this affect the operation of the horn once I get the button? Also, is there meant to be some sort of additional wire coming through the centre of the steering wheel shaft, that is a ground? does it connect also to the plunger/button? Mike. |
