I decided to replace the ball socket on my 1970 shifter . I didn't realize the plate springs were under so much tension. I haven't found a way to put them back.
Any body have an idea ? ![]() |

![]() Waiting on the tranny to return so i took my sihifter out. I see some deformation on the plate. Maybe a mm or 2 and only on the secondary plate tacked to the big plate. I turned the shifter so the side you see is the side that pushes the plate. Shaft looks good. Does this look like 80,000 miles worth? Worthy of replacing? Sorry the picture is so big. Can't change the size using iphone. |
