hi,

im a newbie so please excuse the beginner's questions.

I have a 1975 1.8L L-jet. Currently the car will start, but not idle at all. I checked all the vaccuum lines in back and cant find anything wrong with them. The car reads as having between and quater and half of a tank of guess, which i put in.

I just replaced the battery and i can hear the feul pump humming when I turn the car on.

I am baffeled as to what the heck is going on, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

any advice on a good way to check for vaccuum leaks because I think ive dont a good job, but have found none.

i'd say spray some carb cleaner on the hoses and TB and filler cap, but if the car isn't ideling, that's not going to be easy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

does it run if you hold the throttle open by hand?
