Hey everyone out there in the 914 world!

I recently purchased a 1973 Porsche 914 1.7l for my very first automobile project based on the uniqueness of the car and that it happened the very first type of car I got behind the wheel of (neighborhood friends car, not mine).

As I get started down the winding 914 restoration road, I was wondering if there is anyone in the Denver area that could provide me with some local advice or just to connect with. Even for a cup of coffee or a beer.

If not, well im going to have to lean on everyone else not in Denver for help so be ready. Ha jk jk. I have checked out this forum and glad to be a part of it.

Thanks for looking.
-Brett

I am up north (Longmont).
I'm also interested in what you intend to do with it.

There's a pretty good following of 914s in Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing.
Maybe even 8-10.

Check it out at rmvr.com & the yahoo group mentioned above.

And I dont know if you want those wheels. I just might have to take em off your hands and trade you for a set of original 2.0L Fuchs.
That will make it more "original" wink wink...

Interested to hear exactly what brand & size those wheels are.
They might be unicorns....

Just really trying to get it drivable. Seized engine at the moment that i am intending to rebuild. It still in the car so really trying to get it out. Being my first project, i don't really know what the hell I'm doing but did buy a bunch of tools to work on it and have a garage.

I purchased the wheels to get it on the trailer because the wheels that were on it when i bought it were an odd size that they didn't make tires for. They are enkei wheels that i got off amazon here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DNLF4H...ailpage_o09_s00 . I think they look pretty sweet once i get it moving.

Thanks for the support.
