My engine 40 year clean up is progressing slow but sure. I get obsessed in that any cruddy part not being replaced has been getting blasted and powder coated and painted. That and waiting on parts.
Here is the before and after of the fan shroud. Cleaning involved oven cleaner then blast cabinet. I put two coats of etching primer followed by Eastwood alumablast paint. The fan flaps were done in extreme chassis black. Might have powder coated the latter but to big for my small oven. Still, I am pretty pleased with the results. |
