My hell hole appears to be a double layer that is a partial sleeve off the inside of the longitudinal. My replacement part from RD appears to be a 16 gauge replacement. Can somebody send me a link to an "open heart surgery of that area...so I can decide how to repair mine please? My sides are ok, it is the top under the battery that has suffered. Looking for a very detailed thread to get some answers.
Thanks... Speedo |

Lars,
Here's some pics from the work I did on my car. This is the outer right side open. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1191-1339198965.jpg) Then closed off inner (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1191-1339276362.jpg) Then the outer (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1191-1339286705.jpg) Here's some from the engine bay side. Open both outer and inner (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1191-1240794721.jpg) Here final with the inner & outer closed off. I saved the inner quarter for last, but it wouldn't be necessary to do that. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1191-1339974824.jpg) |
