Good Morning,
I've been laying low after I had isssues with tracing down the electronic issues with the tach in the blue car. The tach was dead. I replaced it with a working silver dot. The only issue seemed to be the size of the bulb holders. Swapped them out, everything seems ok. Am I missing any hidden issues? But I'm having trouble with the turn signal switch. Turning on the left signal blows fuse number #9. I hope Mike Bellis is around today, he seems to have a good grasp on switch issues. Here's where we're at: * Stalk switch for the parking brake lights work with key off. Both sides, all lamps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) * Light switch turns on the all parking lamps, key off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) * Emergency flasher works key off and on with the turn signal harness unplugged from the column switch, all lamps (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) * Turn signal in the down position works. Both front and back. Seems backwards. turns on the right rather than the left. I switched places on the black/white and the black/green in the harness connector at the switch. Changing them did nothing. I'll deal with that later. * Up postion blows the fuse #9. After going thru a pile of fuses I went to NAPA and bought a couple circuit breakers for $8 each. * Next step was to try the switch from my 73. Doesn't fit but everything works. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) * Then I proceed to test out the 75 switch as per Mike's numerous posts. Everything tests out other than continuity between blk/wh/grn and black/green. Zero, nothing. So the $1,000, 000 question. Do I swap out the 73 wiper switch and stack it on the 75 washer. Will that work ? Will It fit ? Or tear into the only 75 wiper switch I have? EDITED @ 6:50 PM Here's the info I started with this AM. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...112819&st=0 |
