You can voluntarily give yourself a Region Association by going to the Profile Information section of My Controls, or clicking here. Also make sure that you have selected to allow admin update emails (second option from the top) in the Email Settings section, or clicking here

These regions will let the admins send out emails to specific groups of members to inform you of upcoming events and fun runs. We are all busy and sometimes miss event threads, and this is a great solution. You can choose any region that most closely represents you and you can change your region association at any time.

If you are planning an event, just contact myself or another admin to have a thread highlighted, to set up a new region or to have a announcement email sent out.

Remember, this program is completely voluntary and you won't be emailed unless you select a region. You can stop the emails at any time by changing your email settings or setting your region back to None.

Sirandy, any chance of adding a region in the lower Great Lakes that would encompass Chicagoland? Am sure there are copious numbers of 914 out there. Upper Midwest usually means MN, WI, Dakotas. Yr thoughts.
